I finally got to attend my first local blogger event #NWBloggerMeet! No need to travel for hours and get several trains in the process. I could just get in my car and off I went and within 20 minutes I was there! yey. My friend Katie from Curvaceous Beauty organised this lovely event. We had never had the pleasure or meeting in person (even though we were meant to a few times), until this event, so I was made up with the chance of finally getting to meet her.
The event was held at The Button Boutique on Brick Street in Liverpool, which is such a cute venue, fairy lights everywhere, sofas, tables and so many things to take photos of. You could spend so long here taking pictures and putting them on pinterest!
Katie had arranged for Georgina from She Might Be Loved to do a talk for us all about how to have a successful blog and talked about SEO tips, it was very useful and she knows so much! Definitely someone I would love to pick her brains and probably bombard her with questions! She was so lovely and I’m glad I got the chance to meet her, you have to check out her blog.
There were also talks from a couple or brands. Liz from Stella & Dot introduced us to their wonderful jewellery which we got to look at and try on. We even got a gift in our goodie bags from her, and wow they were just amazing!! Check out the gorgeous ring I got. You can even hold a Trunk party in your own home for free, invite all your friends and get the pleasure of trying on the jewellery and buying in the comfort of your own home.
We then had a talk from Nathalie from Tropic, who introduced us all to their skincare and beauty range. Their range is all animal cruelty free and made from natural products. We were able to try and test all the products, which was great.
After the talks we had a few prizes given out and I amazingly won one of the prizes as I had done a lot of interaction with #NWBloggerMeet on twitter. The people who did the most won a prize 🙂 Here is what I won:
I got a gorgeous set from Lilash. This set contains an eyelash and eyebrow serum and a cute handy mirror that has diamantes all around it! It is such a nice set and I know the serums to buy separately can be a little pricey as well. I have heard a lot of good reviews of this product so I will be trying it out and posting my review. It wont be for a while as it takes about 6 weeks! Let’s see if this gives me amazing eyelashes and eyebrows!
We then had chance to have tea and coffee, we also had a nice array of cupcakes and cakes… what more could you ask for! This was laid on by The Button Boutique which was so nice of them to do. Everyone loved everything and we all had a good little natter over cups of tea, how very British of us! We also had cake pops that were provided by The Dessert Counter.
I met some amazing girls and I hope we all keep in touch and see each other again at another blogger meet.
How cute are the bags from Stella & Dot! I really love the round pink one with the elephant on!
Right now on to the part everyone has probably been waiting for…. The Goodie bags!!!
What a fabulous goodie bag this is as well, jam packed with so many amazing things.
Here is an angled eyeliner brush from Nanshy, I love their brushes. I have only tried one so far though but they are also cruelty free which is a big plus for me. This is a handy little brush to have and I think I have mislaid my angled eyeliner brush as well so this is great for me.
Milton Lloyd provided some samples from their Colour Me range, I love getting to try a new perfume and I find these so handy to take on holiday with me as well. It means I can take several different perfumes with me and not use up too much weight allowance.
Bee Good gave us a sample of their cream cleanser that also came with a handy cleansing cloth. I love Bee Good products and it’s also good to know you are helping British Bees. The full size of this is only £11.50.
Jewell Emporium gave me this super cute Sausage Dog Brooch! How glittery is it! They have some really funky items on their website and you can also get 10% off using the code Glitter45.
This is a small sample of Perfumer’s Choice No3. This is a sample of men’s aftershave, which my partner really likes.
I was so happy to receive a Stylfile as I do not own a full size one of these. I got a mini keyring one in my beauty advent calendar at Christmas. I just need to get used to a file this shape!
These are absolutely gorgeous!! They are so life like. These are from Magic Accessories. I can’t believe I got this set in my goodie bag. Their jewellery will make gorgeous gifts for people so it has given me plenty of ideas. I know people who would love a set like this. They are so unique, how beautiful will this look hanging round your neck.
I have already mentioned this beautiful ring from Stella & Dot. I really do feel spoiled by them. I fell in love with this ring as soon as I saw it! It looks amazing on and really stands out. It’s even 3 rings in 1 so you could wear them separately if you wanted. I will definitely be checking out their other jewellery.
Laimon provided a sample of their 100% natural drink. It is a lemon, lime and mint sparkling drink. This will be a perfect drink to have on a hot summer day.
This is a goodie bag in itself! Heaven Skincare gave us this wonderful bagful. It contains a pen, peppermint clarifying hydrogel, Divine cream, hydro cleansing milk and a sachet of Silk skin BeeBee cream. I have tried the Divine cream and it smells amazing, and absorbs nicely into the skin. I will get round to trying it all out.
The venue The Button Boutique is a crafty place which is suitable for all ages, they even hold hen parties! So if you want something different to do with your friends then get in touch with them.
The event was so much fun and I didn’t want it to end! Katie and I have decided to work together on organising the next event, which will hopefully be around July. So if you are interested in attending then please get in touch.

It looks like such a fun event, I’m really upset I didn’t get to make it. I woke that morning with tonsillitis and haven’t left my bed since :(.
3rd March 2015 at 8:14 amI have already put my name down for the next event though which I will attend if it kills me (or if this tonsillitis hasn’t!).

Oh no, I hope you feel better. I have been ill myself, but I slapped on the make up made myself leave the house and forced myself to be able to go haha. The venue was so pretty I would definitely recommend checking it out sometime. You will have a chance to attend the next event so don’t worry, Katie and I are organising one together which will be in July. So make sure you have me on facebook and twitter so you don’t miss out 🙂 xx
