This is my first Love Me Beauty box review, and I am quite happy with these boxes. You get a choice of 3 boxes every months, they have pretty much the same things, but a couple will be slightly different. So you get to pick which box suits you best. You can also skip a month if you don’t like what the are offering, and you can also pick a mystery box, where what you get will be a surprise. I have never done this, as I have always chosen which box I want. This beauty box costs £10 + £2.95 p&p. The size of the products in Love Me Beauty are decent sizes, and quite often there are full sizes in the box. The sizes of the products are a lot better than what you get in Birchbox, but they are usually of lower value products, so the actual value of the boxes are pretty similar to each other. But if you prefer quantity then this is a great box.
I picked Edition 3.
Neal & Wolf – Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo (RRP £11.50)
My first product, is Full Size 250ml and this is why I chose this box as I would use it more often than smoothing cremes etc. This is a fantastic size, and full size so worth £11.50. It smells quite nice, and is not overpowering. It has a kind of sophisticated smell, I really don’t know what this shampoo smells like. I have yet to try this shampoo yet, as I got a shampoo in my Birchbox as well, so I have been trying that one. I have not tried and Neal & Wolf products yet, but I have heard of them, so it will be great to see what they are like.
Models Own – Nail Polish ‘Fuzzy Peach’ (RRP £5)
This is another Full Size product so worth £5. As I have said before I don’t usually use nail polish, as I prefer Gel Polish. This dried fairly quickly, but was rather thin and watery when applying, but it went on nicely. It’s by Models Own and is in ‘Fuzzy Peach’. I do really like the colour, it has kind of a neon tint to it, but isn’t too bright. It is ideal for the summer. The only thing is it has already chipped on about 3/4 fingers, and it hasn’t even been on for 24hrs. So even though I love the colour I’m not too impressed with its longevity. I have had to fill in the chips, but it just chipped again within another 24hrs. So it’s great to wear for the day, but don’t expect much longer out of it without it looking tatty.
Betty Hula – Secret Wonder Oil Roller Ball (RRP £6.25)
This is yet another Full Size product! That makes 3 full sized products in one box! Its is worth £6.25 and is 10ml. This is a moisturising oil and is suitable for all skin types. It boosts your skins natural moisture barrier which promotes radiance, whilst the roller ball works to encourage circulation. It contains Grapeseed oil, Apricot kernel, Avacado oil, Hemp oil, Vitamin E, Rose Absolute and Jojoba oil. It smells amazing, it has a very luxurious scent and reminds me of when you visit a spa and have a massage. It make your skin so soft! It’s amazing how soft my skin feels after I apply this oil. And you can apply this anywhere on your body, so you see a patch of dry skin.. apply this and voila it will be moisturised and super soft! It is good for relieving signs of stretch marks, scaring, dry/sensitive and aging skin, combination skin, oily skin and for soothing sunburn. It has so many uses, and you have to try this to believe how soft it make your skin. This is something that should be on everyone’s shopping list!
Redken – Colour Extend Conditioner (RRP £9.99)
This product is a sample size 30ml and is worth £1.20, the full size is £9.99 250ml. This is a special conditioner for colour treated hair, and it is meant to resurface the cuticle for a smooth, vibrant finish. It also detangles and provides protection from fading, whilst restoring colour vibrancy. I do colour my hair, so I will get use out of this product. But it was not something I got excited about. It just reminds me of the colour conditioner you get in every box of home hair dye kit! But this maybe different, I guess I will have to try it to find out. But I am not going to expect anything different from this product. If you have already tried this product let me know what you thought about it.
There were a few extras in the box, and that consisted of a voucher for HelloFresh worth £25. I probably wont use this as it is somehting you have to sign up to, where you receive a box each week with recipes and ingredients in. There were also 2 x 2ml sachets of Weleda – Stretch Mark Massage Oil worth 64p. Full size is £15.95 for 100ml. It is meant to prevent the appearance of pregnancy stretch marks by visibly improving the skin’s elasticity and smoothness. So this is probably great if you are pregnant, which I am not! But I am sure it will be a nice massage oil anyway, and it will be something nice to try. It also maybe a product I might want to use in the future! You never know!
This month was a fantastic box, so may full sized products!! This month’s box (excluding the gift voucher!) is worth £24.59! Not bad for £10 + £2.95 p&p. Again you get more than your moneys worth, so can’t complain there!
Which edition did you go for, and what do you think of Aprils box??
