I have been wanting to try Kat Von D products for a while and I am happy that they are now available in the UK.  Thanks to Love Me Beauty I have been able to try out some of her products without having to fork out for the full size items first.

I was mainly looking forward to the lipstick and eyeliner even though I am a big fan of matte liquid lipsticks, I don’t often wear the colour red as I find it a bit to bold for me.

The liquid eyeliner is in the shade Trooper and has a really nice long fine tip.  This is perfect for doing a winged look! It is a really nice black colour and does a solid black line when applied.  The liquid eyeliner dries pretty quickly and then doesn’t smudge, it is waterproof so it will last all day long.  It also has a sprung lid to prevent it from drying out, I find a lot of other liquid liners do have a habit of drying out pretty quickly.

The other two items I got was the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Magick and the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw.

The Lipstick comes in gorgeous studded packaging, it is a nude pink-y mauve colour with a slight shimmer.  I absolutely love this colour!  It really stays put all day as well which is great for a lipstick.  I usually find lipsticks wear off pretty quickly.  I can’t get enough of this colour as I really like nude colours at the moment, I will definitely be getting the full size lipstick when I can (or if any family members need ideas for my birthday!! hint hint)!  This lipstick also smells amazing! It has a slight sweet smell and I like it when lipstick smells nice… is that a bit weird?

The packaging of the liquid lipstick is so pretty, I love the flower detail on the lid!  I wasn’t sure whether I would like this one due to it being a red.  But I was pleasantly surprised.  The matte lipstick is really good quality and really stays put!  It may even stay put too well but that is usually what happens with a red colour!  It isn’t quite as ‘in your face’ as I was expecting, it has a slight orange undertone which I think makes it a lot more wearable for me and matches my skin-tone a bit more.  I love liquid lipsticks and this one is no exception, I would love to try this in a colour I would get a lot more wear out of.

I really can’t wait to try more products from Kat Von D, these have impressed me and I am sure her other products will as well.  I may have to pay a visit to Debenhams.
