Beauty UK Cosmetics..Part 2

So here are some more lovely products from Beauty UK who sent me some lovely things to try out.  These products arrived in a very snazzy bright pink jiffy bag.  I love this and it makes me more excited to open the package!  I have tried and tested all these products and will be sharing my honest opinion with you all.

So I will start off with the products you would use for your base, as I have a full face of make-up products to get through.

This is the Matte-FX Foundation £2.99 which comes in four different shades.  I chose the darkest shade, 04 Honey,  as all the others looked a little bit too light for me.  I’m glad I did as this colour does match my skin tone pretty well.  There aren’t really many colours to choose from, but its nice to not also be overwhelmed with too many to choose from.  This foundation is quite thin so it doesn’t cover every blemish and mark, but it does give a nice finish and blends nicely.  It also doesn’t leave your skin feeling too heavy which is nice.

Overall I am pretty impressed with this foundation considering it only costs £2.99!  Obviously it will never replace my more expensive foundation, but it is nice to have a cheaper alternative.

beauty uk cc cream

This CC Cream is more expensive than the foundation at £4.99.  There are only 3 shades in this and again I went for the darkest colour, 30 Biscuit.  Again this colour matched well to my skin tone, so I was very happy about that.  This is a lot thicker than the foundation and gives a lot more coverage, so that is something to bare in mind when deciding out of the two.  I did like the lightness of the foundation, but I like how this gave more coverage so this would be quicker to use when I am in a rush in the mornings.  If you found this too thick you could always mix it with the foundation for a lighter feel.

I have to be careful when using this as I seem to squirt way too much product out and get the tube covered in it!  I must be being too heavy handed with it.

Conceal & Correct is definitely a bargain at only £2.99.  There is a selection of three colours to pick from and I went for no.3.  This is a good match for me and it blends in easily.  It is very easy to use and you apply it with the stick wand.  This concealer is great for when you are in a hurry and doesn’t dry your skin out as it is in a liquid form.  The packaging is nice and simple and for the price it is definitely something to add to your make up bag to hide any pesky spots or blemishes.

I absolutely love this Shimmer Box no.2 Rose, they look so stylish and expensive, but they are only £4.99!  They come in two shades, Bronze and Rose.  This is the Rose shade, I have reviewed the Bronze one on my other post which you can find Here.  I really like the look and feel of the packaging which looks a lot more expensive than it is.  It actually reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.

This is such a pretty colour and would be nice used to highlight the face, it has a rose, gold shimmer sheen to it.  These are definitely one of my new favourite products.  I hope they make some more colours, darker ones which would be great for use as a blusher.

The Posh Palette No.3 Festival is such a gorgeous palette, I absolutely love the colours!  This palette costs £5.99! This palette is so unbelievably pretty, not really the colours I would normally wear, but it is so fun to play around with these colours and to try out new things.  This palette will definitely push your normal boundaries to a new level and who doesn’t love experimenting!  I tried out all colours with a primer and without, the colours are more vivid using a primer, but they still work really well without a primer.  If you want a slightly more softer look then I would not use a primer with these eye shadows.  I was impressed with these colours as even the yellow stood out and sometimes in a shadow yellow is just too faint, but this one really works.

If brights are really not your cup of tea then they do have a wonderful selection of other colours.

The Posh Palette No.2 Masquerade is a more neutral colour palette, this is one that can be used daily.  This palette is great for being able to create a smokey eye look and a more natural day look as well.  Number 2,3 and 4 are great for blending and using as a base colour, they don’t show up to well in the photo without primer, but they are great to use for a natural blended look.  This is a great selection of colours and can be used for day and night looks, which is fantastic.

This Posh Pout No.1 Big Pinkin just remind me of Clinique’s Chubby stick but this one will only set you back £2.99.  This is very easy to apply and is very moisturing when on, it also has a minty flavour which makes it quite refreshing.  I was not too sure whether this was a bit too bright for me, but I did get used to it and the colour grew on me.  There are a total of 6 colours to choose from, next time I may try one that is a bit more subtle.  This gives good coverage and the colour is vibrant, it is very handy to have in your bag when you want to add a bit of colour in a hurry.

The Define FX Mascara is £2.99 and has cute pink and white packaging.  The brush is a good sized rubber brush and it simple to use and coats all lashes.  It doesn’t quite give the desired look I go for, as I like quite a dramatic look, but it does give a good defined natural look.  If a more dramatic look is what you want then you will have to apply more coats to achieve this.  This is a great mascara though for a day look.

Here is a picture of what the mascara looks like one, on the left is with mascara and on the right is no mascara, that is the only makeup used for this picture.

Here is just a little play with some of the colours, it’s always fun to have a bit of a mess around.

Overall I am really impressed with what Beauty UK has to offer.  Their make up is very reasonably priced and is of better quality than what you would expect for the price.  Even though you would still have other brands in you make up bag Beauty UK really does have something to offer everyone.  There is definitely something that you will fall in love with.  For me it has to be the shimmer boxes.  This is a brand I will be keeping an eye on as there are always new things being added.

Have you tried any of their products before?  What is your favourite piece?  If not is there something you would love to try?  I would love to hear from you all.

Hey. I would say it has more yellow undertones. I hope that helps.
